According to some visitors who visited the exhibition site of producer FTV Production Sdn Bhd at the opening of the Kaamatan Festival on 1 May 2023 in Tuaran recently, they acknowledged that the film Tribesman- The Last Red Hunter has similarities with the film Mat Kilau which is set in nature, the atmosphere of ancient times. There are scenes of battles between clans and tribes in ancient times.
This film tells the story of a man who suddenly realizes that he is mysteriously from the past and is arrested and locked up because he is accused of bringing disaster to the native tribe in the village. A girl saved the man, passed out after exhaustion while running away, and was helped by a mute man.
This matter caused a conflict between two factions to the point where a tragic battle occurred, and many followers of each faction were killed.
