Due to dissatisfaction with the results of the "Queen Of FH Media" fashion and beauty competition published and organized by film and music production company F Harmthon Production Sdn Bhd on 22 July 2023, a former finalist of Queen Of FH Media 2023 who received the Lady's Of Beautiful Body 2023 award acted to cut the sash of her victory.
According to a 10-second video shared on Facebook, the former finalist who was crowned as "Lady's Of Beautiful Body 2023" said something about RM500.
"Is this five hundred money, huh?" she said in the video while cutting the sash.
The matter invited netizens' questions; some asked which program she had and even paid RM500.
In another tweet, the former finalist said she felt at a loss for paying RM500 for the vote, and became a question mark for her followers.
In addition, it was also shared that she was said to be in the top 10 when she paid RM500, but that did not happen. A screenshot of the conversation between him and the organizer of the organizer's number, which belongs to Freddy Harmthon, was also shared, which mentioned his position when paying the money.
According to the company's Managing Director and Program Director Freddy Harmthon, when contacted, he admitted that the former finalist approached her and gave suggestions but did not force her to vote.
"Like other participants, they contacted me to get information and views on the vote. There is no bias in this matter, except if someone asks for the vote of other participants, I will not share this.
"We have a digital systematic voting system and have been informed from the beginning of the competition, which starts in November 2022, that 40 percent of the marks are from the Public Jury and 60 percent from the Professional Jury.
"The purpose of the vote is to give space to the audience and their followers to vote.
"To give added value to all of them so that they are better known, we held an exclusive interview session with them, and it was shown on FH Cinema's digital and music streaming website. We also included a voting link. But what happened? Only a few used this space to get votes.
"To participate in any competition, there needs to be sacrifice and not just sitting, what else involves voting. Don't be shy to win votes," he stressed.
When asked about the allegations about the organizer cheating and eating money, FH vehemently denied the statement.
"We all have evidence. The company's official Facebook also has a weekly raffle; they all already know it is paid.
"Also, for information, the participants who cut the sash previously said they wanted to withdraw, and there was no increase in votes even though it was only RM2 for one vote before the amount was increased to RM10 in mid-May 2023.
"In the 'WhatsApp Group' of this competition, I also often emphasize the importance of early voting and make various ways for them to win votes, including selling tickets to the JKKNS Auditorium, Kota Kinabalu (the venue of the competition), promoting the sales site and live streaming tickets that cost RM5. All have voting marks.
"So there is no issue that I allegedly ate the participants' money because everyone already knows there is a paid vote.
"After the program ended, I also allowed all former finalists in the 'Whatsapp Group section to see their respective voting positions, including the total number of votes. There, the voting position of the former finalist who cut the sash was in the top nine.
"Regarding the issue of the so-called 'top ten' not being the champions, I have already explained in the past conversation (referring to the previous article), and there are some issues that damage the good name of my company, where the organizers and judges are said to be fighting because they disagree and can be heard live.
"You can listen for yourself at the final stage of this competition on YouTube FH Production Sdn Bhd and judge whether the statement is correct.
"I want to emphasize, stop spreading slander just because your chosen contestant did not win. We have prepared a room to vote and you did not use this opportunity. Should help them through voting. This is the reason why the voting room is open to the public. Any competition needs a paid vote, so there is no need to argue why there is a paid vote. Defamation like this is very detrimental to the industry," he said.
The former finalist who cut the sash of his victory was urged to publicly apologize for damaging the good name of the competition and also the reputation of the company registered with the National Film Development Corporation of Malaysia (FINAS) or take action to withdraw the title and be asked to return the winning crown and have to pay a fine and summons that will be set in court.
