According to Freddy Harmthon, the Founder and Managing Director of F Harmthon Production Sdb Bhd, which is the producer of this program, the FH Cinema Short Film Chart lasts for one year. It is made to encourage players in the film industry to continue creating, and to motivate them to produce films fully.
"Apart from encouraging, we also want all players in this industry to know where is the right place for them to market their products, as well as give exposure to movie fans to subscribe to movies at FH Cinema.
"FH Cinema is a newly created digital platform aiming to market movies and music digitally.
"All films in competition need to be voted to qualify them to the final stage, which is as much as RM3 per vote and voters can watch the film after subscribing or voting," he said.
He added that the process implemented in this competition is the actual process of watching films fully.
"We realize that many people have an idea to make a film but don't have a budget. Some share money to make short films and put them on social media. The sad thing is the money invested in making the film cannot be recovered because there is no income after it is uploaded on social media.
"With the existence of FH Cinema, their films can be marketed and generate good income.
"All the films sent to us, we will accept, and if the audience wants to subscribe, then all the players in the film industry should improve the quality and quality of films and exciting storylines.
"Through this Short Film Chart they all see and evaluate the effectiveness of this platform and evaluate the extent to which their ideas can be accepted by the audience," he said.
